Can I still say that even though it's the end of January?

How are those resolutions going?

Can't believe it's been so long since I last posted... the end of 2015 was pretty crazy for us! This school year has really been kicking my butt- every school year has it's challenges and stresses, but this year seems more challenging and stressful.

Could have something to do with the fact that we're .....  pregnant!

We found out in August, right before school started back again and it's been a whirlwind ever since. We're due at the end of April and everyone is very excited!

So who wants to win a brand new Hamilton Beach brand Mixer!?

The wonderful people over at Hamilton Beach sent me two mixers to try out and use for my all Holiday baking this year. Then they told me that they want to give some away to you, too!

First I used the hand mixer to make my class some gingerbread man sugar cookies for our Holiday Cookie Decorating Party in my classroom. This mixer made me life so much easier! This sugar cookie recipe is perfection, but it can become a workout rather quickly if you don't have a good mixer on hand!

Next came the banana bread for our new neighbors. We bought a house and moved over the Thanksgiving holiday so I wanted to make a good impression and bring the neighbors something tasty. The Hamilton Beach stand mixer has a smaller bowl than my Kitchenaid stand mixer, but it's a heck of a lot lighter, too! It mixed just as well as my Kitchenaid, and the clean up was quick and easy.
