The lovely people over at Hamilton Beach sent me this Wave Action Blender in exchange for an honest review. Honestly, I love Hamilton Beach!
I was so excited when HB asked if they could send me this new blender. I love my other HB products so I was happy to add this one to my kitchen!
The difference in this blender is in the blades. they're positioned so that everything get whirred around. With most blenders you have to stop, scrap the sides, or hit it a little bit to try and get the food that's on the wall of the jar down to the blades. Not with this one!
The Hamilton Beach Wave-Action system is designed to continuously force the food down towards the blades, eliminating the need to stop the blender before it's done to scrape the sides.
Hamilton Beach has been making blenders for over 100 years, so you know you can trust them!
I have been finding different ways this summer to incorporate greens into my families dinners. I used my HB Wave Action Blender to make this yummy Creamy Green Sauce for pasta using tons of fresh spinach and kale. The best part was, there's no cream in it! It was totally guilt-free! No cream, no butter, no dairy milk!
It was devoured in no time and no one knew the difference! Next time I think I'll add a touch of red pepper flakes for some heat. You're going to love this sauce.
Creamy Green Sauce for Pasta
1 tbs olive oil
2 cloves garlic minced
1 bunch spinach
1 bunch kale chopped, stems removed
1 can coconut milk
1/2 avocado
salt and pepper to taste
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook garlic until soft, about a minute.
Add coconut milk and bring to a simmer. Add in kale and spinach and cook until just wilted.
carefully transfer into your Hamilton Beach Wave Action Blender.
Add avocado, salt and pepper to taste.
Puree. (You may want to puree in batched to avoid too much steam building- it could blow the lid off!)
Taste as you puree to be sure the level of salt and pepper is right.
Serve over cooked chicken and pasta.
