Apple Pie Protein Oatmeal- Hamilton Beach review

As a Hamilton Beach brand ambassador I was given the new Hamilton Beach Set & Forget 6qt Slow Cooker with Spoon/Lid to try and review.
((Know that I was given the product free of charge, but the opinions in this post are all my own)).

We use our slow cooker sporadically. Honestly, I don't have a lot of good slow cooker recipes that picky-eater1 and picky-eater2 would actually eat! Our old Slow Cooker was also the Hamilton Beach brand, so you know we're already fans.

The new Slow Cooker has a meat thermometer attachment that comes with it, and the cool thing is you can tell the Slow Cooker to only cook the meat until it reaches a certain temperature. This will come in really handy when we start roasting whole chickens!

For now I have made an Apple Pie Protein Oatmeal in mine. No thermometer required, but it turned out darn tasty!

I was inspired by my PUMPKIN PIE PROTEIN OATMEAL that was featured in the February issue of Austin Fit Magazine.

Apple Pie Protein Oatmeal
created by theFoodette
yields aprx 4 servings

2 cups dry oats
2 medium/large apples- chopped
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup milk
2 tsp apple pie spice
1/4 cup brown sugar

In a small bowl whisk together protein powder, milk, water, and apple sauce until the powder is completely dissolved.
Combine all ingredients into the Slow Cooker, mixing well.
Set Slow Cooker for 4 hours on LOW.

The new Hamilton Beach Set & Forget 6qt Slow Cooker with Spoon/Lid will automatically turn itself to the WARM setting once the 4 hours are up so you can set this at night before bed and you'll have breakfast ready and waiting for you in the morning!
