Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

Man, oh man, life hit this past week and it hit HARD! I've had a few unexpected's this past week but I think I am now getting everything back on track.

If you're following me on Instagram, you saw that I was baking some tree shaped cookies this past weekend. I helped my good friend Rebecca bake ~100 of these sour cream cookies for the after school program that she runs.

Fun fact: Rebecca and I met when I was the director of that after school program. She was my right hand, and some days my left, too. She took my place when I left and we've stayed friends!

Snapped a pic of the recipe right from the book!

These cookies come from a family recipe. She was so kind to let me share it with you! When frosted and sprinkled these cookies will be the perfect Christmas treat! They're thick, soft, and not overly sweet. In the word's of Goldilocks, they're juuuust right.

  1. Ooh, these sound like my Grandma's cut-out cookies! Love that they are soft instead of crunchy, and not too sweet, so I can load on the frosting! Once I get tired of gingerbread I'm totally trying these...
