Support-not just for boobs

I've been thinking alot about support lately.
I am going to make a confession here: I, like many other girls (I hope) gained the "freshman 15" while I was in college......and then I gained 5 more.
I'm not proud of it, and I was in denial for a very long time about it, but while I was in highschool I could and did eat absolutly whatever I wanted while never realizing how active my lifestyle was (and needed to continue to be to be eating like that).

About 6 years ago, I remember making the classic girl-body-complex complaint to my boyfriend (who is now very much an EX-boyfriend) and all he would tell me was "you're the only one that can do anything about it". Which, to be honest, pissed me off.
Two reasons: 1, because he was right. I was the only one who could do anything about it. No one was going to change my habits for me, no one was going to wave a wand and make things happen. It was me and only me. But mostly this statement pissed me off because, excuse me, but where was the SUPPORT!? He wasn't going to do it with me by any means and he certainly wasn't offering up any words of encouragement.....

Anyway

The point of this post is this: Tackling this weight-loss/fittness thing today (better late than never, right?) has been challenging at times, yes. However, I have several wonderful people that I know are in my corner and there have been times when that's what's kept me going and motivated.

It's powerful.

Dave is really good about giving me words of encouragment when I am working out with him and I always hear positive things from my mom and sister; even when I am at Camp Gladiator our trainer tells us about 4-5times a session to tell our neighbor they're doing awesome, or give our buddy a high five and tell them they're a stud!

So go tell someone that they're awesome, it'll make you both smile.
And for anybody that's with me trying to keep up a workout schedule and healthy eating habits YOU CAN DO IT! YOU ARE AWESOME! :-)
